Be Part of Something Special

Welcome to the home of Kawana Island Residents Association (KIRA)

Kawana Island is a sought-after area on the Sunshine Coast, known for its picturesque waters of Lake Parrearra, parks and playgrounds, walking and cycling paths, and conveniently located just a short drive from the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital. We love calling this beautiful island our home and have formed KIRA to provide a sense of community connection and sense of belonging whilst also representing the island with the local council.

We are a vibrant community of volunteers dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Kawana Island. Our association is committed to fostering a sense of belonging, promoting community engagement, and ensuring the well-being of our members.

We welcome all residents that reside on the island to become a KIRA member for just $10 a year to receive community news 6 times a year and invitations to exclusive events all the while contributing to the community maintenance and upkeep.

Explore the various projects and initiatives we are working on to improve our community. Get involved and make a difference in the place you call home.

The Kawana Island Residents Association is operated by KIRA Committee volunteers.
